....... for over thirty years now Monday morning syndrome just does not exist.  Monday is the start of another fascinating week in which I get to explore the dimensions of the Osteopathic art. Every day in practice is an opportunity to learn more and to enjoy more of what Osteopathy has to offer.

I am fond of saying to students that no one knows the outer limits of Osteopathy and that to take the principles of the relationship between the structure of the body and the way it functions is to set out daily on and endless quest into the deep intelligence within the tissues of the body.

It is a journey without end and provides an opportunity to help people with their pains and discomforts and in some measure with their trials and tribulations.

I believe that Osteopathy is as much about relationship between the practitioner and the patient as it is about osteopathic technique. That fact means that there will always be something fresh and meaningful about every session with every patient no matter how many times they have been for treatment or for however long over the years.

Osteopathy will always have something to offer to anyone who wants to feel better physically, mentally and emotionally and it is this fact that inspires me to ever keep on learning and practising.

Gez trained at the ESO (European School of Osteopathy) graduating in 1982 and was invited to join Tom Dummer's practice in Marylebone.  Tom Dummer was practising an approach to osteopathic diagnosis and practice called Specific Adjusting Technique (SAT) which required a skill in spinal manipulation in areas subject to physical trauma especially the neck after a blow to the head or a whiplash.

His three years with Tom Dummer before Tom's retirement enabled Gez to hone the skill to perfection and he has been teaching and practising the approach for thirty years to undergraduates and graduates alike.

As the years have gone by he has also integrated the Cranio-Sacral approach with SAT and has formulated a unique blend of the two so that the work has taken on a precision and gentleness not commonly associated with boney manipulation. He has also found a way of using the 'Cranial' approach to help with emotional and psychological matters and teaches this approach in conjunction with SAT.
